This year Cade had the flu during Thanksgiving so we had cancel lunch at our house and move it to mom's. I went to mom and dad's with Cole and then Stephen took Cole to Annette's. It was definitely not what we were planning, but we didn't really have a choice.
Stephen and I both grew up in Pasadena, TX and now reside in LaPorte. We met in the 3rd grade at Teague Elementary, were boyfriend/girlfriend in 5th grade and we finally began dating (for real) in the fall of 2000. We were engaged in April of 2002 and married on June 28, 2003. On November 12, 2009, God blessed us with a beautiful baby boy, Cole Thomas. We found out we were expecting our second son on New Year's Eve 2011. Cade Ross was born on Septemember 8, 2012.

Alumni Cheer Event
So I heard from Cyndi that PISD would be looking for alumni cheerleaders from all the PISD high schools to participate in the alumni game against Deer Park. It was to take place the evening of final game of the McDonalds Invitational. I didn't really think anything of it until Ronda Lyles Cooper asked if I would do it with her. I thought it might be fun so we signed up. The next thing you know we get a practice schedule and videos of the 12 or so cheers we needed to learn/relearn. Most of us were from SHHS and Ronda and I were the oldest until Jamie (who was a senior our freshman year) showed up right before we went out to perform. It was a lot of fun.

Doctor Bailey in the house…
So Cole decided rather early that he wanted to have a "Doctor" party. He has really been into giving check ups and doing "doctor" things. So I had a student use Adobe Photoshop to create an adorable invitation.
I began to borrow activities and decorations from the HOSA teacher at my school and from Dobie. I came up with all kinds of fun things. We had a mannequin for CPR, skeleton puzzles, Operation, a medical station and a clinic. We also had a muscle sculpting area and a body part white board. We had pizza and cookies and then went into the back yard for our first piƱata. Our patient was purchased at Fiesta. I added a few bandages so she looked like she had been in an accident. It all turned out really cute. Of course the weather was slightly rainy, but it all worked out.
